In Parallel, there are two core elements you’ll work with:
Parallels – These are the most dynamic or transactional parts of Parallel. You use them whenever you need to complete a process.
Profiles – These are more static. They let you create different types of profiles for your team, store relevant information, and set up alerts.
These two elements often work hand-in-hand 🔗. For example, if you’ve completed three parallels with a client, you may want to link them to the client's profile to have all the information in one place. With profile-parallel associations, you can do exactly that! 🎉
You have two ways to associate profiles and parallels.
Start a parallel from Profiles (recommended):
The most efficient way to connect parallels with Profiles is by starting the process directly from a profile. This creates a cyclical workflow: you begin the parallel from the profile, complete the form, and once the parallel is closed the information is fed back into the profile. This keeps your data up to date and makes it easy to reuse in future processes.
Another possibility is to create a parallel independently and, when you’re ready to close it from the Review tab, associate it with Profiles. At that stage, you can either choose an existing profile or create a new one to keep all the information connected.
