Zapier is a tool that empowers you to automate your work between two or more apps so that you can move forward faster.
Zapier helps your business by connecting Parallel with thousands of the most popular apps, so you can automate repetitive tasks and have more time for what matters most—no code required.
To do so, you will use Zaps. Each Zap consists of a trigger and one or more actions. This way, you can set up a Zap that says, “If Parallel does this, make X do that.” Or, “If X does this, make Parallel do that.”
Since Parallel has a minimum access policy, before starting any integration via Zapier, there are some settings you have to plan.
¿What is Parallel’s minimum access policy?
When working in Parallel, your colleagues only have access to the templates and parallels you want them to see. By doing so, we:
👉 Keep your processes private, so your client’s information or contracts are safe. 👉 Make collaboration within your organization very flexible so that different people can manage different processes. |
This section will help you understand what to consider before setting your integrations.
GO! 🏃♀️💨
When creating a Zap, you must choose an account to connect Parallel with any other app.
When deciding what account you choose to build the integration, take into account the following:
First, you must choose a user’s account that has access to (1) the Parallel template that will be involved in the integration and (2) all the parallels that are created from that template.
How can you make sure of that?
In this link, we explain how to share a template with a user, and here we explain how to ensure that all the parallels created from a template are assigned to a user or team of users by default (always).
Once you decide on the account and make sure it has the right permissions, associate the Parallel account to Zapier using an API token from that user if you don't have any associations yet.
Where can you get an API Token?
Log in Parallel with the chosen account and follow these steps.
Now you can start creating Zaps that connect Parallel to your favorite apps!
