Templates are your starting point in any Parellel process, either to collect documents or to generate them.
They are a good way to create a standardized process so that you and your team can work more efficiently.
Templates are the process models that you or your team can use to complete or submit parallels.
You can create templates from the examples you will find in the public templates, saving them in your library and editing them to your case, or directly from the Create button.
Once you have created a template, you can use it as many times as you want for different cases.
Let's see how to create a template from the Create button!
First, access the template library by clicking the (+) button on the sidebar:
On the template library screen, press the Create button at the upper right zone:
The following menu will appear:
From this menu you can choose if you want to create a template from scratch, or if you want to start creating a template of the following types: (1) contract, (2) information list; or (3) authorization.
If any of these three options fit you, you won't have to start creating a template from scratch. You will create a template that already includes some typical fields for these use cases, as well as some default settings.
We want to make the creation of templates as easy as possible for you!
1. Contract template
Click here, and you will be able to start creating your contract from a template that already includes the typical fields to identify the parties, the titles of the clauses, etc. You will only have to edit it to fit your needs.
2. Information checklist
If you want to collect information and documents, in this template you'll find some examples of fields in which we ask for basic information. From here on, you can edit the template and add as many questions or files requests as you need.
3. Authorization Template
You can use this template as an example to create an authorization template simple and quick to use, you just have to edit it to adapt to your case.
What do we mean by authorization? Well, a simple power of attorney, an authorization to vote on behalf of someone, to make an order, etc.
4. Template from scratch
Last but not least, the blank template, so that you can create a process as you want. Design it from scratch adjusting to your tastes, needs and cases.
Another option you have is to save an existing parallel as a template. To do this, click on the More options > Save as template when you are working with a parallel.
The saved template will copy all the fields that your parallel has.
